In this powerfully heartfelt, hope and recovery focused 2-4 hr. seminars, retired police sergeant Eric discusses openly, honestly, and frankly of how his life was riddled with personal struggles and trials, as well as severe battles with stress, depression, self-destructive and suicidal behavior. In addition, Eric will discuss how his recovery allowed him to develop and command the Rochester Police Department's Emotionally Disturbed Persons Response Team (EDPRT), the first team of its kind in New York State, as well as train thousands of police officers and other law enforcement personnel on the issues of mental health. Eric puts nearly 30 years of professional and personal experience into this dynamic presentation, and provide a real-life, ‘no-nonsense’ approach to the issues of mental health in law enforcement, mental illness, symptoms of stress and depression,  stigmas, communication skills, and suicide awareness and prevention among law enforcement officers and emergency services workers and their families. 

Eric offers a 2-4 hour in-service or special seminars which cover:
